Achieving a Greater Sense of Calm, Stability, and Stamina

Life is an intricate dance of fast-paced moving parts calling on us to pay attention to the whole of life as well as thousands of tiny little (and not so little) details that make up our day to day lives. We crave feeling whole, balanced and centred in the midst of the fray. But all too often we experience overwhelm, off-centredness, exhaustion, illness and simply handle life with less skill then we'd like.

In this enriching three hour workshop you will: 

  • Explore balance in the physical body.
  • Connect your embodied sense of balance with cognitive/emotional/psychological understanding of balance.
  • Develop tools and skills to re-centre and maintain balance for increased vitality, efficiency, and inner peace.

A little more about Dawn: Dawn Ross is a Certified Yoga Therapist, Registered Yoga Instructor and has been a Certified AFLCA Fitness Leader for over a decade. She has a private yoga therapy practice in SW Calgary and in Kelowna, BC during July and August. She helps people reduce and eliminate their pain by helping them move and breathe better. A little more about Marjorie:  Dr. Marjorie Mayers is a registered psychologist who has been helping individuals, couples, and families for over 20 years. She has a private practice in SW Calgary, does corporate mental health training for the CIty of Calgary, among others and also teaches at MRU/University of Calgary from time to time.
